A 2.4 GHz frequency is utilized for the LG wireless home theater, which is supposedly a cut above others using 800-900MHz. In case you have no idea what this means, let me provide an explanation of GHz and MHz. GHz (Gigahertz) is a unit of frequency equal to a billion hertz. This means that 2.4 GHz is basically 2.4 billion hertz. MHz (Megahertz) is equal to a million, so 800 MHz is translated into 800 million hertz. Since the LG wireless has greater frequency than most others, then it is safe to conclude that it is superior.
Many home theater systems have only a distance of 10-100m, while an LG wireless home theater from RCA for instance can hold a 200 m distance. The distance refers to the components and how far apart from one another they can be and still interact. The more distance a system offers, the more options you have in terms of where you can place your LG wireless home theater.
This distance even includes going through walls and furniture, meaning equipment can be placed in other rooms in a house. This obviously is something that can’t be with a typical home theater system that comes with wires.
LG wireless home theaters also has what is referred to as interference free programming. This means that a device that carries an electric signal, such as a phone or appliance, will be unlikely to disrupt the the audio of the LG wireless home theater when on. All the other LG wireless features appear to be standard as well. If frequency, interference, and distance are important features for you to have, then you should seriously consider an LG wireless home theater.
Of course, this is all dependent on your budget since more features generally equal more expensive. If money is not an issue, LG might be the way to go.
